About Me

I'm a photographer from the UK and The Netherlands.

As an international, I relish the opportunities living and working in different countries bring. A vibrant mix of exploring cultures, new experiences, relationships, languages and life.

A circuitous sort of migration, with my steps weaving back and forth with the UK as professional life and travels have carried me to The Alpes, The Arctic, The Americas, Asia and the flatlands of The Netherlands, among others. The journey has been colourful, a migration of choice.

Nourished by perpetual curiosity, my camera has accompanied my travels near and far.

What's ICI ?

ICI is an integral theme to this Collection. In French, one of the languages I feel at home in, it means 'here'.

In 2024, I joined artists and delegates from Hong Kong at a conference in The Hague. I felt the narrative on being 'diaspora', leveraging voices through creativity and articulating how we process leaving a homeland and moving elsewhere, deeply.

At the time I was reading the White Road by Edmund de Waal. A glorious read on many levels, and specifically, along with other curator work made me consider what constitutes a 'collection'.

Wonderful conversations surrounded these two topics, igniting sparks for me! The seed for the Life Laundry ICI Collection was planted.

Life Laundry ICI steps into where memories reside and the significance our encounters with people, places and spaces hold for us. What wealth does an artefact, a memory, a moment contribute to the life laundry each of us carries. Our visible, or invisible archives.
